- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1 (15 ounce) can pumpkin puree
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix granulated sugar, brown sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, pumpkin puree, and vanilla until well combined.
- Combine wet ingredients with dry ingredients gently; do not overmix.
- Fold in 1 cup of chocolate chips and pour batter into the prepared pan. Sprinkle remaining chips on top.
- Bake for 55 to 65 minutes or until a skewer inserted comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
