- 12 ounces fresh cranberries
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup dark rum
Instructions
- Rinse cranberries thoroughly and remove any stems or soft berries.
- In a medium saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, and water.
- Bring to a boil over medium-high heat while stirring occasionally.
- Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer for 10-15 minutes until cranberries burst and sauce thickens.
- Stir in dark rum after removing from heat.
- Let cool slightly before transferring to jars or serving bowl.
- Refrigerate for up to 2 weeks or proceed with canning.
