Ingredients
- 1 pound fresh spinach
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup feta cheese, crumbled
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 package (17.3 ounces) frozen puff pastry, thawed
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Sauté chopped onion in olive oil until translucent. Add minced garlic and spinach; cook until wilted.
- In a bowl, mix cooked spinach with ricotta, feta, salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Roll out puff pastry and cut into squares or circles.
- Place a spoonful of filling on each pastry piece; fold and seal edges with a fork. Brush tops with beaten egg.
- Bake on parchment-lined sheets for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
