Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 quarts filtered water
  • 6 tea bags (Luzianne preferred)
  • 12 cups seeded watermelon chunks
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan, combine sugar and water; bring to a boil until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat, add tea bags, cover, and steep for 15 minutes.
  2. Blend watermelon chunks with lime juice until smooth. Strain into a gallon pitcher.
  3. Remove tea bags from the sweet tea base and mix with the watermelon puree. Stir well.
  4. Serve over ice, garnished with fresh mint leaves if desired.
