- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 quarts filtered water
- 6 tea bags (Luzianne preferred)
- 12 cups seeded watermelon chunks
- 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- Fresh mint leaves (optional)
Instructions
- In a large saucepan, combine sugar and water; bring to a boil until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat, add tea bags, cover, and steep for 15 minutes.
- Blend watermelon chunks with lime juice until smooth. Strain into a gallon pitcher.
- Remove tea bags from the sweet tea base and mix with the watermelon puree. Stir well.
- Serve over ice, garnished with fresh mint leaves if desired.
