- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium yellow onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 3 cups beef broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 12 ounces fusilli pasta
- 1 cup shredded Colby Jack cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
- 1/2 cup crispy fried onions, for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and onion; cook until browned (6-8 minutes). Drain excess fat.
- Stir in garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper; cook for 1 minute.
- Pour in beef broth and heavy cream. Add fusilli; stir to combine and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer for 12-15 minutes until pasta is tender and liquid is absorbed.
- Remove from heat; stir in Colby Jack cheese until melted.
- Serve garnished with parsley and crispy onions.
